LPI was accorded with the Malaysian Business Corporate Governance Merit Award for the fourth consecutive year since 2004.

Malaysian Business promotes excellence in corporate governance with this annual award where Public Listed Companies listed on the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) are evaluated in terms of their corporate governance value. The Award gives recognition to listed companies that demonstrated excellence in corporate governance practices as well as their return on equity as a measure of enhancing shareholder value.

LPI won the KPMG Shareholder Value Award for the fourth consecutive year since 2004. LPI received a higher recognition for the KPMG Shareholder Value Award for the years 2005 and 2006 when it emerged as the Sectoral Winner under the Financial Services category.

The KPMG Shareholder Value Award is an annual award where all listed companies in Bursa Securities are evaluated in terms of value creation to their shareholders in the year of review. This award is designed to promote corporate excellence through enhancing levels of disclosure and setting exemplary best practices.
